Overview

Seeking a highly experienced Application Developer to support enterprise-level systems and applications. This role will focus on full lifecycle development including analysis, design, development, testing, and production support within a large-scale environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java development and experience working in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed analysis, design, and development for enterprise applications and subsystems
• Participate in requirements gathering and design sessions with business and technical teams
• Develop, enhance, and maintain Java-based applications using established frameworks
• Conduct code reviews and provide guidance on development best practices
• Analyze and triage defects, identify root causes, and recommend solutions
• Develop and execute unit, integration, and system testing
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production issue resolution
• Create and maintain technical documentation and system artifacts
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, analysts, and testers
• Provide knowledge transfer through documentation, code reviews, and team collaboration

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in application development
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and enterprise application frameworks
• Experience with full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Experience with both Agile and Waterfall development methodologies
• Strong experience with code reviews, debugging, and issue resolution
• Experience supporting UAT and production environments
• Ability to write and maintain technical documentation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Desired Qualifications

• Experience working in large enterprise or government environments
• Experience participating in JAD/JAR sessions or similar requirements workshops
• Familiarity with enterprise system integrations and complex application environments
• Experience mentoring junior developers or leading development efforts
