Role Overview
We are seeking a QA Test Lead to direct the Enterprise Technology Quality Assurance team across multiple development projects. This role owns the testing milestones, manages system and user acceptance testing phases, and provides subject matter expertise. The position requires identifying and mitigating risks, reporting on progress and metrics, and mentoring team members to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Enterprise Technology Quality Assurance team across multiple in-flight development projects.
- Own QA milestones for assigned projects and ensure all testing activities are completed on time.
- Manage system testing and user acceptance testing phases from end to end.
- Participate in project meetings, providing QA subject-matter expertise.
- Identify, communicate, and mitigate testing risks and issues throughout the lifecycle.
- Provide regular test status updates, defect metrics, and reporting to project teams and leadership.
- Assist in developing and maintaining QA policies, procedures, and standards.
- Mentor QA team members on standard methodologies and test execution.
- Ensure adherence to QA standards and expected application performance levels.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent education and experience is required.
Experience: A minimum of eight years of QA/QC experience within IT or Enterprise Technology is required. Experience in a financial institution is preferred. The role demands strong experience leading QA efforts across multiple simultaneous projects and managing large-scale testing initiatives with minimal supervision.
Technical Skills: Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio), Microsoft Project or similar tools is necessary. Hands-on experience with test management and automated testing tools, such as HP Quality Center and Quick Test Professional, is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in structured application development environments with distinct development, test, and production systems.
- A strong understanding of structured application development methodologies and principles.
- Prior project management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement operational efficiencies.
- Experience mentoring or leading QA team members.
Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated pay range for this position is $45.00 to $55.00 per hour. Please note that the final pay rate will be determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience and qualifications.
