Metrology Technician | Fremont, MI

Salary Range: $56,000 - $83,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Fremont that are seeking skilled Metrology Technicians. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration and verification of measurement tools and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning metrology equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of calibration data and equipment history.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of calibration procedures.
  • Conduct Gage R&R studies and other measurement system analyses.
  • Provide technical support and training to manufacturing personnel on measurement techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Metrology, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing metrology role.
  • Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications.
  • Demonstrated experience operating and programming CMMs, vision systems, and other precision measurement equipment.
  • Strong understanding of measurement uncertainty, calibration principles, and statistical process control (SPC).
  • Ability to troubleshoot measurement issues and perform root cause analysis.
