Salary Range: $55,000 - $82,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Montague that are seeking skilled Metrology Technicians. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform precision measurements using CMMs, calipers, micrometers, and other metrology equipment.
  • Calibrate and maintain measurement tools and equipment according to established procedures.
  • Analyze measurement data and create detailed reports, identifying trends and potential issues.
  • Troubleshoot measurement discrepancies and recommend corrective actions to improve accuracy.
  • Assist engineers in developing and optimizing measurement processes and fixtures.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T specifications.
  • Conduct Gage R&R studies and maintain measurement system analysis documentation.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Metrology, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing metrology role.
  • Proficient in using various metrology equipment (CMM, optical comparators, calipers, micrometers, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Experience with metrology software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso).

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with programming CMMs using PC-DMIS or Calypso software.
  • Familiarity with GD&T principles and their application in manufacturing.
  • Certification in Metrology (e.g., ASQ Certified Calibration Technician).
  • Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis tools.
