Salary Range: $54,000 - $81,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Whitehall that are seeking skilled Metrology Technicians. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration, adjustment, and repair of precision measuring equipment and test instruments.
  • Document calibration results, maintain calibration records, and generate calibration certificates.
  • Develop and optimize calibration procedures and methods to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Conduct Gage R&R studies and other measurement system analyses to ensure measurement reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to measurement equipment and processes.
  • Provide technical support and training to manufacturing personnel on metrology best practices.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams on new product development and process improvements.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Metrology, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment performing dimensional inspection and calibration.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications.
  • Demonstrated experience with a wide range of metrology equipment (CMMs, calipers, micrometers, vision systems, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of calibration principles and measurement uncertainty.
  • Ability to perform basic statistical analysis of measurement data.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis techniques.
  • Familiarity with a variety of measurement software (e.g., Calypso, PC-DMIS, MCOSMOS).
  • Certification in metrology (e.g., ASQ Certified Calibration Technician, NCSL International).
