Software Engineer (.NET Core / Angular)


Location: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid 3-in office, 2 remote)


Duration: 12-month contract (potential to extend)




Overview


We are seeking a Software Engineer to join a collaborative Agile Scrum team supporting multiple applications within a Wealth and Investment Management environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on full stack developer with strong experience in .NET Core, Angular, and SQL, along with a passion for building high-quality, scalable applications.

You will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing existing systems while contributing to modernization efforts and improving overall application performance and reliability.



Key Responsibilities



  • Develop, enhance, and maintain .NET Core-based applications
  • Build and support front-end solutions using Angular
  • Design and optimize database interactions using SQL Server
  • Collaborate within an Agile Scrum team to deliver high-quality software
  • Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks (Playwright or similar)
  • Use GitHub for source control, code reviews, and CI/CD workflows
  • Leverage modern development tools, including AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Copilot)
  • Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in a timely manner



Required Qualifications



  • 5+ years of experience in software development
  • Strong experience with:

    • .NET Core / ASP.NET Core
    • Angular (modern versions)
    • Microsoft SQL Server / SQL

  • Experience with automated testing frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar)
  • Proficiency with Git-based version control (GitHub preferred)
  • Experience working in Agile (Scrum) environments



Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience with GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development tools
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
  • Exposure to container platforms such as OpenShift or Kubernetes
  • Experience supporting applications in enterprise environments
