Location: On-site across Winchester, VA & Vienna, VA campuses
Assignment Type: Contract Only
Duration: Approx. 12 months (1,592 hours)
Pay Range: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour. Specific compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
Position Description:We are seeking a motivated Level 1 Desktop Technician (1-5 years experience) to support a large-scale workstation conversion initiative across multiple campus locations. In this hands-on, on-site role, you will assist with device deployment, workstation setup, user-facing laptop swaps, and secure equipment processing as part of an enterprise IT operations team.

Key Responsibilities:- Perform workstation conversions, including equipment setup, removal, cable management, and staging
- Conduct laptop swaps and limited customer-facing support with a professional, service-oriented approach
- Follow documented processes for device imaging and secure data wiping of returned equipment
- Handle, move, and transport IT equipment (ability to lift boxes required)
- Track equipment through staging, conversion, and return workflows with strong attention to detail
- Work full-time on-site and travel between Winchester and Vienna campuses as needed
Qualifications:- 1-5 years of experience in IT support, desktop support, or technical operations
- Basic knowledge of Windows OS, peripherals, docks, monitors, and connectivity fundamentals
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to follow structured procedures with precision
- Organized and detail-oriented with strong task-tracking habits
- Comfortable working on feet for extended periods and handling physical equipment
- Reliable transportation to move between local campuses
