Senior Project Manager (Hybrid)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Project Manager (Hybrid) in Chicago, IL.

Summary:
An organization is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead application development initiatives. This role focuses on delivering enterprise technology solutions that improve operational efficiency, automation, and system reliability within complex environments. The position works closely with both business and technology teams to drive modernization and scalable system capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead end-to-end delivery of IT application development projects from planning through production release
* Manage modernization initiatives including systems enhancements, platform upgrades, and automation integrations
* Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, resource allocations, and risk mitigation strategies
* Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, vendors, and business stakeholders
* Oversee integrations across platforms, enterprise systems, and external partner interfaces
* Ensure adherence to SDLC practices including planning, development, testing, QA/UAT, and release management
* Track project financials including forecasting, burn rate, and budget-to-actual reporting
* Provide concise executive-level updates on project progress, risks, and business impact
* Ensure solutions align with operational goals, scalability needs, and system reliability requirements

REQUIREMENTS:
* 8+ years of IT project management experience within structured PMO environments
* Proven experience delivering enterprise application development or modernization initiatives
* Demonstrated experience building detailed project plans using tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar platforms
* Experience coordinating cross-functional technical teams and third-party vendors
* Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models
* Direct ownership of project budgets including forecasting, financial tracking, and change control
* Strong executive communication skills with experience presenting project updates to senior leadership
* Ability to connect project delivery to measurable business outcomes such as operational efficiency or cost improvement

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
