Location: Memphis, Tennessee (hybrid-3 days on-site, 2 days work from home)
Employment Type: 12-month contract with a strong chance of extension (will be working on a W2)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Software Quality Analyst for a 12-month contract position. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests for a full solution stack, including UI, application layer, and REST APIs. This role requires collaboration with developers, QA analysts, and product managers to ensure comprehensive test coverage and contribute to enterprise test automation frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automated test frameworks and scripts for UI using Selenium with Java and for REST APIs using Rest Assured and TestNG.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Bamboo and Git Hub.
- Participate in test planning, test case design, defect reporting, and root cause analysis using JIRA.
- Identify, document, and validate bug fixes in a clear and concise manner.
- Build and implement SQL queries to validate databases using automation tools.
- Provide accurate estimates for test strategy, design, and execution work.
- Collaborate with developers, QA analysts, and product managers to understand requirements.
- As needed, coordinate activities between US and remote testing teams.
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills:- Experience in automation using Selenium Java, Rest Assured, and other Web UI automation tools.
- Ability to code in Java, JavaScript, and SQL to automate tests.
- Experience with test frameworks and tools such as Junit, TestNG, Appium, Cucumber, and Postman.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Bamboo and source code management with Git/Bitbucket.
- Familiarity with Page Object Model (POM) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) using Gherkin.
- Experience with cloud testing, mobile automation testing, and AWS cloud deployment technologies.
- Proficiency with IDEs such as Eclipse or IntelliJ.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Docker.
- Experience with Selenium Grid for parallel test execution.
- Knowledge of Extent Reports 2.0.
- Front-end UI experience in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Compensation & BenefitsThe pay rate for this position is
$50-$54/hour. Apex Systems offers weekly pay. Please note that as a contract employee, you may be eligible for benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401k plan, with an employee contribution.
