5+ years Network Engineering experience

5+ years configuring routing & switching (Cisco Nexus and/or Arista)

Strong experience with VXLAN overlay networking

5+ years IP routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, RIP) in large enterprise environments

5+ years designing LAN/WAN/Data Center solutions

Plusses

CCNA, CCNP/DP, or CCIE (Data Center preferred)

Strong understanding of QoS configurations

Deep knowledge of L2 protocols (Spanning Tree, Trunking, EtherChannel)

Experience with MLAG, EVPN, CVP, Multicast, HSRP, CBWFQ, DSCP, NAT/SNAT

Python, Ansible, GitHub experience

DNS/domain services knowledge

Change control experience (ServiceNow)

Agile experience (Jira)

Large financial services background

Strong documentation and Visio skills

Job Summary

In this contingent resource assignment, the Senior Network Engineer will consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Network Engineering. The role involves reviewing and analyzing complex, multi-faceted challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including unprecedented or intangible elements. The engineer will contribute to resolving complex situations while ensuring alignment with policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Strategic collaboration with client personnel is essential.

Required Qualifications: 5+ years of Network Engineering experience, or equivalent through work, consulting, training, military experience, or education.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Support data center network infrastructure implementations, migrations, and decommissions

Configure Cisco Nexus and/or Arista routers and switches

Design and support LAN/WAN/Data Center network solutions

Work with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, RIP) in large enterprise environments

Implement VXLAN overlay networking

Participate in change control processes (ServiceNow)

Create and update technical design documentation

Work with DNS, QoS, L2/L3 protocols, and advanced data center technologies

Use Python/Ansible/GitHub for automation (preferred)

Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams

Work onsite 3 days per week

Work some nights and weekends as required

Confirm ability to work an 8-hour shift
