Job#: 3023615 Job Description: With minimal supervision, the Tier 2 Systems Administrator works as part of an enterprise team to provide support on multiple Department of War (DoW) networks and enclaves. You will manage services using on-premise hardware and perform regular hardware and software updates. Performs installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of laptops, desktops, and Zero Clients. Provides technical support and troubleshooting to Tier 1 & 2 support. Deliver technical support to the Enterprise components as required. Additionally, you must be able to implement system management tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP).
You will provide systems administrative support in areas such as:
- Active Directory
- System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
- Exchange
- Information Security
- File Shares
- PKI
- Virus protection
What You'll Need to Succeed
Education:
- High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of related experience, or
- Associate degree with 4 years of experience, or
- Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience.
Basic Skills/Experience:
- 2+ years in at least three of the following areas: VDI, Active Directory, SCCM, Exchange, Information Security, Desktop applications.
- 2+ years configuration, troubleshooting, and maintaining Windows 11 Desktops.
- Ability to support a 24x7x365 work schedule, shift work, and travel as required in support of customer initiatives when required
- Knowledge of Networking fundamentals.
- Exposure to DoW Configuration Management, Information Assurance, and Systems Lifecycle Management processes.
- Creating and updating lifecycle documentation as required.
