About the Role
The Senior Data Management Analyst is responsible for ensuring data is accurate, complete, and reliable across systems. This role focuses on assessing data quality, identifying issues, and putting controls and processes in place to maintain high data standards. The analyst works closely with product teams, business partners, and governance groups to ensure data meets business and regulatory expectations.
What You'll Do
- Assess data quality across data elements and data structures
- Identify and document issues related to data accuracy, completeness, and formatting
- Design and run data quality checks using manual and automated methods
- Perform ongoing and ad hoc data reviews, audits, and investigations
- Analyze root causes of data issues and recommend remediation actions
- Prepare clear reports and summaries of findings for stakeholders
- Create and maintain documentation for:
- Data quality testing processes
- Standards and procedures
- Governance and control guidelines
- Ensure data aligns with product requirements, client needs, and governance rules
What You'll Need
Education
Required- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- OR
- A related degree with 7+ years of relevant data management experience
Preferred- Data-related certifications (e.g., CDMP, Certified Data Quality Professional)
Skills & Experience
Required- 4+ years of experience in data quality or data management roles
- Experience building and implementing data quality frameworks, policies, and controls
- Strong understanding of:
- Data governance
- Master data management
- Data modeling
- Hands-on experience with:
- SQL
- ETL processes
- Data profiling and data cleansing techniques
- Ability to:
- Investigate complex data quality issues
- Perform root cause analysis
- Develop and execute remediation plans
