The OpportunityWe are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Caledonia that are seeking skilled Help Desk Technicians. Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing software and hardware.
- Resolve IT issues related to production equipment, including PLCs and HMIs.
- Maintain and update IT inventory for manufacturing floor assets.
- Document and track all help desk requests and resolutions within a ticketing system.
- Assist with the deployment and configuration of new manufacturing workstations and devices.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve complex technical problems.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on IT systems supporting manufacturing operations.
Recommended Qualifications- Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in a help desk or IT support role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Proficient in troubleshooting hardware (e.g., PCs, printers, scanners, shop floor devices) and software (e.g., Windows OS, MS Office Suite, ERP systems).
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN) and basic server administration.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively assist users of varying technical proficiencies.
