.NET Developer (NPC Applications)

Par Rate: $52 - $57 CAD

StaffRight Associates has been engaged by our premier client to secure a disciplined .NET Developer for a critical 6+ month direct-hire contract-to-hire initiative. Based in Toronto, this hybrid role is centered on the enhancement and configuration of core NPC applications. As an employee of our client during the initial contract tenure, you will provide high-level backend engineering, maintaining a strategic balance of 70% application development and 30% database optimization.

Professional Scope & Responsibilities

In this capacity, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of application enhancements, ensuring that both code and data structures are performant and scalable. You will serve as a technical linchpin, bridging the gap between legacy frameworks and modern database standards.

• Application Engineering: Perform complex configuration changes and feature enhancements using C# (7.0+) and the ASP.NET Web Forms Framework (4.7).

• Database Management: Design, modify, and optimize SQL Server 2019+ stored procedures; manage database updates and lead data-related troubleshooting efforts.

• Technical Governance: Participate in rigorous code reviews and manage version control via Git-based repositories to ensure production integrity.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business requirements into functional, robust software solutions.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Experience: A minimum of 4+ years of professional software development experience with a heavy focus on backend architecture.

• Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in C# (7.0+) and the ASP.NET Web Forms Framework (4.7).

• Data Expertise: Strong SQL skills, specifically with SQL Server 2019+ and complex stored procedure optimization.

• Version Control: Proven experience utilizing GitHub or equivalent version control systems within a collaborative environment.

• Core Competencies: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex legacy application logic.

Preferred Assets (Nice to Have)

• 3+ years of experience within the AWS ecosystem.

• Practical experience building or consuming Web APIs.

• Familiarity with XML and integration protocols.

• Front-end exposure to React.js and JavaScript.
