10+ years of software engineering experience in enterprise environments.Strong expertise in:- Scala (REQUIRED)
- Apache Spark (REQUIRED)

- MongoDB (REQUIRED)
Strong experience with data processing and large-scale distributed systems.Experience building and integrating enterprise-scale applications and APIs.Experience in financial services / capital markets environments.Strong understanding of:- Trade lifecycle and compliance systems
- Regulatory-driven applications (e.g., MAD/MAR familiarity preferred)
Experience working within Agile delivery models.Ability to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and compliant systems.Plusses:

The Software Engineer 4 - Trade Surveillance will contribute to the
development, integration, and rollout of a new enterprise Trade Surveillance platform across global regions (US and EMEA). This role supports both
strategic modernization initiatives and ongoing enhancements to existing surveillance systems. The engineer will work closely with engineering teams, compliance stakeholders, and vendor partners to deliver scalable, regulatory-compliant solutions that support capital markets monitoring and risk management.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Design and implement trade surveillance platform capabilities, including integration with third-party systems.
- Develop and enhance systems using Scala, Spark, SQL, and MongoDB.
- Build and maintain data pipelines and distributed processing frameworks.
- Translate business and regulatory requirements into technical designs and software solutions.
- Support integration of cloud-hosted and vendor-based platforms.
- Participate in vendor management and coordination activities.
- Ensure adherence to:
- Secure SDLC practices
- Information security standards
- Third-party risk management requirements
- Collaborate with global teams, including engineering, compliance, and business stakeholders.
- Contribute to modernization and rationalization of surveillance technology platforms.
- Provide support for production issues and system improvements as needed.
