Product Owner - Commercial Banking Document Management Platform

About the Role

We are seeking a Product Owner to lead the design, implementation, and business onboarding of a new document management platform supporting the Commercial Banking organization. This individual will join an established Product Owner team and take ownership of driving all Commercial Banking-related platform initiatives, ensuring successful adoption and alignment with business objectives.

The role sits within the Corporate & Investment Banking COO organization, where the product resides, while partnering closely with leaders and stakeholders across the Commercial Banking line of business. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who combines product ownership, business analysis, and project coordination experience with a strong understanding of enterprise technology solutions.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Product Owner for Commercial Banking document management platform initiatives.
  • Lead business requirements gathering, solution design, implementation planning, and platform onboarding activities.
  • Partner with Commercial Banking stakeholders to define product vision, roadmap priorities, and business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with technology teams, developers, architects, and business partners throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Drive Agile ceremonies, backlog prioritization, user story development, and requirement refinement.
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure successful delivery and adoption of platform enhancements.
  • Analyze business processes and identify opportunities to improve document management workflows and user experiences.
  • Track project milestones, risks, dependencies, and communications with key stakeholders.
  • Support testing, implementation, training, and change management activities.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Business Analysis, Project Coordination, or related roles.
  • Experience working on system implementation or platform onboarding projects.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into actionable deliverables.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within collaborative, cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with document management, content management, or enterprise workflow platforms.
  • Background in the banking, financial services, or commercial banking industry.
  • Familiarity with enterprise product management practices and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience leading business process improvement efforts.
