Job#: 3032747 Job Description: Scrum Master
Location: Remote
Employment Type: Contract
Role Overview
We are seeking two experienced Scrum Master / Release Managers to support core platform initiatives. These roles focus on delivery execution, release management, and cross-team coordination, rather than process transformation or Agile coaching. This is a hands-on role for an individual who can integrate into active releases with minimal ramp-up time.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end release management activities, including change request coordination, release readiness artifacts, approvals, and ticket hygiene.
- Facilitate day-to-day Scrum activities as needed (stand-ups, retrospectives, planning), with an emphasis on delivery over ceremony.
- Coordinate with engineering leads, development teams, QA teams, core platform teams, API teams, and governance offices.
- Proactively identify and drive the resolution of risks, blockers, and environment issues.
- Maintain accurate tracking, reporting, and visibility using Jira.
- Communicate effectively with managers, stakeholders, and leadership.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Release Manager, or in a similar delivery role.
- Experience in release management within technology environments.
- Hands-on experience with Jira, including reporting and tracking.
- Experience coordinating releases across multiple teams and dependencies.
- Effective relationship-building and communication skills.
- Ability to operate in fast-paced and evolving environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting API-based platforms, integrations, or core systems.
- Familiarity with development lifecycles across development, QA, and UAT environments.
- High-level technical fluency.
- Background in regulated industries is not required but is beneficial.
What Will Make You Successful in This Role
- A focus on delivering results over enforcing Agile theory.
- Proactive, decisive, and solution-oriented work style.
- Comfort with joining active releases and resolving issues in real time.
- Ability to navigate governance processes effectively.
Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated pay range for this position is $40.00/hr to $45.00/hr on a W2 basis. The duration of the contract is 12 months with a possibility of extension. Benefits are available to eligible employees.
