The OpportunityWe partner with manufacturers across East Lansing seeking Metrology Technicians who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities- Perform calibration and preventative maintenance on metrology equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair measurement equipment and systems.
- Develop and maintain calibration procedures and documentation.
- Conduct measurement system analysis (MSA) studies.
- Provide technical support and training to production and engineering teams.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Utilize various precision measuring instruments, such as CMMs, optical comparators, and calipers.
Recommended Qualifications- Associate's degree in Metrology, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in metrology or quality control within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in using a wide range of precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMMs, optical comparators).
- Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application in measurement and inspection.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Experience with calibration processes and maintaining measurement equipment accuracy.
