Metrology Technician | Holt, MI

Salary Range: $52,000 - $79,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration and preventative maintenance on measurement equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning metrology equipment.
  • Develop and maintain calibration procedures and documentation.
  • Conduct Gage R&R studies and measurement system analysis.
  • Provide technical support and training to production personnel on measurement techniques.
  • Maintain accurate records of calibration data and equipment history.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure measurement accuracy and compliance.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Metrology, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing metrology lab or quality assurance role.
  • Proficiency in operating and programming CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines) and other measurement equipment (e.g., optical comparators, calipers, micrometers).
  • Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles and their application.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Experience with calibration procedures and maintaining measurement traceability.
