Salary Range: $54,000 - $81,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform dimensional inspections of manufactured parts and assemblies using various metrology equipment.
  • Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide range of measurement tools and systems, including CMMs, optical comparators, and hand tools.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T to determine appropriate measurement methods and acceptance criteria.
  • Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, identifying and reporting non-conformances.
  • Develop and optimize measurement programs for automated inspection equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve measurement-related issues and improve product quality.
  • Conduct Gage R&R studies and other measurement system analyses to ensure data reliability.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Metrology, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, performing calibration and measurement.
  • Proficiency in using a wide range of metrology equipment (e.g., CMMs, calipers, micrometers, optical comparators).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
  • Strong understanding of measurement uncertainty and calibration principles.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with optical metrology equipment (e.g., CMM with vision, structured light scanners).
  • Demonstrated ability to perform Gage R&R studies and interpret results.
  • Familiarity with GD&T principles and their application in manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) software.
