Supply Chain Operations Planner

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Supply Chain Operations Planner in Corvalis, OR.

Summary:
The Supply Chain Operations Planner supports supply chain and operations planning activities by maintaining data accuracy, executing standard planning processes, and assisting senior planners with demand, supply, and inventory analysis. The role focuses on learning core planning fundamentals while ensuring day-to-day planning execution runs smoothly and on time.

Key Responsibilities:
Planning & Execution:
* Support demand, supply, and/or inventory planning activities using established planning tools and processes

Execute routine planning tasks such as:
* Forecast updates
* Supply commits
* Safety stock reviews
* Open order and backlog analysis

* Maintain planning data accuracy (part numbers, lead times, MOQ, safety stock parameters)

Data & Analysis:
* Run standard reports (Excel, SAP extracts, planning tools) and validate outputs
* Identify basic gaps or anomalies (forecast vs actuals, shortages, excess)
* Prepare simple summaries and charts for senior planners or managers

Cross-Functional Support:
Coordinate with:
* Procurement
* Manufacturing/Operations
* Inventory Control
* Logistics

* Escalate risks (material shortages, missed supply, data issues) following defined escalation paths

Process & Tools:
* Use standard planning tools (e.g., SAP, Excel-based planning trackers, SharePoint repositories)
* Follow documented planning processes and calendars
* Support process improvement efforts through data cleanup and documentation updates

REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in:
* Supply Chain
* Operations
* Industrial Engineering
* Business/Finance
* Data or Analytics-related field

Core Skills:
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
* Proficiency in Excel (filters, pivots, basic formulas)
* Ability to work with structured data and follow defined processes
* Clear written and verbal communication skills

Behavioral Attributes:
* Organized and reliable in execution
* Comfortable working with ambiguity while learning
* Willingness to ask questions and accept coaching

Typical Deliverables:
* Weekly/monthly planning reports
* Updated forecasts or supply plans
* Data quality fixes (lead times, planning parameters)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
