W2 contract role

Overview

We are seeking a motivated Windows Server Administrator to join our IT Infrastructure team. This role is ideal for someone with a foundational understanding of Windows Server environments, hands-on patching experience, and a desire to grow into a more advanced systems administration career path. Experience with Ivanti patch management is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance, updates, and patching of Windows Server systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
Assist in server provisioning, configuration, and monitoring.
Support troubleshooting and resolution of hardware, software, and networking issues related to Windows Server environments.
Collaborate with senior administrators to maintain system availability, reliability, and security compliance.
Document processes, configurations, and maintenance activities.
Participate in off-hours maintenance windows or on-call rotation as needed.

Required Qualifications

1 2 years of experience supporting Windows Server environments (2016, 2019, or later).
Hands-on experience applying patches, updates, and service packs in enterprise environments.
Basic understanding of Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy.
Familiarity with server monitoring tools and remote management.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to follow documented procedures and work within change management processes.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Ivanti Patch Management or similar enterprise patching tools.
Basic PowerShell scripting knowledge.
Exposure to virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
Understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem management).
