The challenge

Find tech talent for hard-to-fill roles

Meridian Cooperative, a leader in development of utility software and technology solutions, needed a way to quickly source highly skilled software developers proficient in Java, .NET, cloud technologies, Oracle and SQL. Faced with a tight deadline and the challenge of attracting talent from larger corporations to smaller enterprises, Meridian had to fill their roles fast while simultaneously building their pipeline for future roles.

The solution

Dice Virtual Career Events

Meridian turned to Dice Virtual Career Events to help. The organization participated in Dice’s “DEIB in Tech” and “Cloud, Engineering, Development, Cybersecurity & IT” events, which allowed them to virtually engage one-on-one with tech professionals seeking their next job opportunities. As part of these events, Dice targets specific skill sets and job titles that participating employers are looking for, presenting Meridian with an excellent opportunity to connect with the right software developers for their open positions. Meridian used the event to showcase their unique employer brand and attract tech professionals to their virtual booth to learn more.

The results

Immediate hires and a pipeline for future openings

Meridian found immense value in these events, particularly noting the quality of the candidates and high levels of engagement. They successfully secured hires from both events to meet their hiring goals. Even a year later, Meridian continued to reap the benefits of participating in the events. By leveraging the resources provided by Dice, including access to candidate resumes and contact details, the team continued to build relationships and conduct interviews long after the events concluded. The organization gained new hires and a robust pipeline to meet ongoing hiring demands, ensuring they have the best talent to deliver cutting-edge solutions to utility providers.
