AMH knew that finding a software developer with experience in the cloud environment meant high competition. Requirements for the role included in-demand skills like ASP.NET, C#, React and Azure. With the tech unemployment rate at 1.5% at the time, and the role restricted to 22 states, the AMH team had to act quickly when qualified candidates were available.
Once the company’s IT recruiter, Paul Hoover, had the job description, he entered the requirements and responsibilities of the role into Dice’s IntelliSearch. This feature utilizes Dice’s robust AI and patented tech taxonomy to generate candidate matches from a job description. He also set up a Saved Search Alert, which automatically sends daily emails with candidate suggestions based on the requirements of the role. By having the Saved Search Alert set up, Paul was immediately able to engage with any candidates who became searchable on Dice and fit his criteria.
The same day that a software developer was laid off from another organization, they activated their Dice Profile and were featured in Paul’s Saved Search Alert. Paul saw that the candidate was a great match for the role and within minutes of receiving the alert, sent the candidate an email regarding the open software developer position. After seven days and four interviews, the candidate was hired, and continues to be a valuable part of the AMH team.
When I got that Saved Search Alert, this candidate was an exact match for the criteria I was looking for. Being able to have that information right away sped up the process and let me know that there was alignment. If I had not received that alert and reached out on the first day, we probably would not have been able to make that hire.
